Desert Fox unlucky in Singapore Group 3 Juvenile Championship

Desert Fox No2 running second in Juvenile Championship

What a run by this fellow on Sunday 28th July 2013. He gave the other horse, War Affair 70kgs in weight! It reminds me of that run of Smart Missile. Desert Fox was going to run a good 4th and then he took off. Well worth the look on the Singapore Turf Club site.

Here is what the breeder of Champion Sunline, Susan Archer, had to say.......

Fairhill Farm's Mike O'Donnell was smiling on Sunday evening after 2YO Desert Fox stormed home for second behind favourite War Affair in the $S200,000 Singapore Juvenile Championship 1200m Sgp-3.

It was Mike who sent the US-bred mare Sandy Desert (by Mr. Prospector's son Line In The Sand) to Not A Single Doubt in 2009 and sold the resulting colt as a weanling for $56,000 to bloodstock agent Michael Wallace. The colt was re-sold to Wallace and trainer Michael Freedman for $120,000 at the 2012 New Zealand Premier Sale.

Sandy Desert returned to Not A Single Doubt in the following two seasons, producing a colt purchased for $130,000 at this year's Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale by Hong Kong trainer Ricky Yiu, and a 2012 filly likely to be offered at the 2014 Melbourne Sale.

Mike says of the fillly, "She is chestnut with a white blaze and three white legs, a nice strong type and could also make a two-year-old. Another Miracles Of Life or Karuta Queen!"

Fairhill Farm enjoyed notable success at this year's Melbourne Sale as the vendor of the Not A Single Doubt-Euchre colt, sold for $300,000 - the highest price so far paid for a Not A Single Doubt yearling.

Michael Freedman, who also prepares the third placegetter Peace No War, said after the Juvenile Championship, "I feel a bit stiff, but they've both done me very proud....Desert Fox just missed out, but has proven yet again he's a very good horse we can certainly count on." Desert Fox won his first two starts in June and his earnings from three starts now exceed $S100,000.

Later on the same card Not A Single Doubt's 6YO son Always Certain, already a multiple stakeswinner, finished third in the Chairman's Trophy 1800m Sgp-3.

The Singapore pair close out a splendid season for Not A Single Doubt, sire of 19 stakes performers worldwide in 2012/13, including eight stakeswinners headlined by the brilliant Blue Diamond G1 winner Miracles of Life.

Not A Single Doubt has just passed the 100-winner mark in Australia this season, the first time he has hit that milestone and surely not the last.

Not A Single Doubt's fee for the 2013 season is $33,000 inc. GST.

There is "NO DOUBT" that NOT A SINGLE DOUBT is still great value.

Time to Plunder makes it 4

Time to Plunder as a yearling

Time to Plunder made it 4 wins today 30th March 2013, at Eagle Farm, and his first win for his new trainer Liam Birchley. The Holy Roman Emperor gelding came from last to win in impressive fashion. The race was run over 1200m as have been 2 of his other wins. The other win was over 1250m. Congratulations to the connections. This bloke was always a type that one would consider would improve with age. At 4 years old, he could still have plenty more in store.

Melbourne Premier results exceptional.

Fairhill Farm had a very good sale in Melbourne including the joint sales topper on the third day.

Cindy Pendergrast presents the Euchre colt by Not a Single Doubt.

Above is Lot 365, the Not a Single Doubt/ Euchre colt that sold for $300k on the third day of the Inglis Melbourne Premier sale. Although very very busy, he was professional throughout the sale. Many people inspected him 5 and 6 times and every time he did his job well. The colt was purchased by Tony Pike for clients and will stay in Australia. The price of $300k was a new all time high for a Not A Single Doubt at any sale.

Fairhill Farm ended the sale with the second highest vendor average for the sale of $129,750. Thanks must go to our great staff for that, on the farm and at the sales.

Congratulations to the other purchasers, Form Bloodstock, South Africa; Greg Eurell and Tony Pike. We wish you well with your purchases.

Inglis did a wonderful job in assembling the buyers that they did, considering the state of the world economy also.
